Photograph of part of page two document written and signed by Father Junipero Serra, ca.1900. The document entitled "Nota Preira" describes marriage statutes at the San Luis Obispo Mission (?). He mentions a 1776 fire in which many books and documents were burned.; "El libro primitivo en se asentaran con la Jurida Instincion, y claridad las partidas y las informaciones patrimoniales y casamientos en esta mision de San Luis Obispo desde su principio perecio en el inciendo que la abrajo eran parte en la madrugada del dia 29 de Noviembre del ano proximo vencido en 1776 por cuya causa los [?] hasta otro dia celebrados, se hallaran aca notados sin la formalidad y los propios dias en que se celebraron y los particulares testigos a cada uno de ellos asistieron si solo en forma Padron que espresse una, a una las familias cuyos matrimonios, ya los padros, ya la noticia y todo el pueblo, y los que celebraron y celebraren despues otro incendio, se continuaron con la correspondiente distincion y 'la claridad aisto note'.
